How ForgePath Sourcing handles a building inquiry

ForgePath Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner. The role is to help a business buyer describe a modular or portable building, collect factory quotations and keep exclusions visible. This page does not recite a factory history, a production capacity or an affiliation.

This role page is not atco structures and is not affiliated with atco structures. ForgePath Sourcing does not claim manufacturer status or authorized dealer status, and it publishes no plant audit. Original-brand supply is outside the service.

Sequence of a sourcing assignment

01

Brief

The buyer records occupancy, geometry, known loads, jurisdiction, quantity and destination. Missing design criteria stay marked as open.

02

Match

The same brief is shared with factories that build similar systems. A match is a request for quotation, not a completed audit of the plant.

03

Normalize

Answers are lined up by scope: shell, delivered, installed and turnkey. Currency, Incoterms-style delivery basis and quantity unit are written beside each number the supplier provides.

04

Handoff

Open engineering, permitting and commercial questions return to the buyer. Contract award is not made by this desk.

Responsibility split

Buyer owns the need

Occupancy, site, budget basis and the decision to accept a deviation stay with the buyer.

Desk organizes questions

ForgePath Sourcing keeps the request consistent so quotations can be read together.

Supplier owns the offer

Price, schedule, warranty text and drawings belong to the party that signs them.

Jurisdiction stays local

Code edition and the authority having jurisdiction are project facts, not a slogan on this website.

Documents need a name

A certificate is useful when it names the system, the plant and the scope being bought.

No invented scorecard

This site does not publish customer counts, years in operation or a percentage below a market price.

Readers who still need the product forms can move to Product Systems. Readers who are ready to write the brief can use the inquiry form.

Cold-formed steel houses, hot-rolled rigid frames and volumetric modules can appear in the same search. The brief should name the method under comparison so a light-gauge package is not scored against a clear-span frame as if the geometry were identical. Ask the supplier to state eave height, bay spacing, purlin and girt spacing, and whether the primary frame is hot-rolled steel or cold-formed steel.

A buyer example, not a catalog offer: a 12 ft by 40 ft portable office with a 9 ft eave, a design live load the project states in psf, and a wind speed in mph. Those four figures are enough to see whether two quotations describe the same box. Module dimensions and the transport envelope still have to be checked against the route.

A fictional alignment worksheet, not a completed project, approved design or ForgePath Sourcing product, lists 48 ft length, 14 ft width, 10 ft eave height, 24 ft bay spacing, 14 ft clear span, module dimensions 14 ft by 48 ft, design live load 40 psf, design dead load 10 psf, wind speed 105 mph, ground snow load 20 psf, seismic design category B, cold-formed steel secondary framing, purlin spacing 4 ft, girt spacing 4 ft, insulated metal panel R-13, thermal transmittance 0.077, fire-resistance rating left unknown pending project review, transport envelope 13 ft 6 in, and an 8-ton crane lift plan. Background is a 6-week classroom move. The process marks unknown snow as unknown. The result sets aside any quotation that omits the foundation interface before award.

When a buyer mentions a searched brand, the name is kept as the reference that started the project. It is not copied into the ForgePath Sourcing identity, the logo or a claim of supply.

Start from the six-field index

Use, dimensions, loads, jurisdiction, quantity and destination are enough to open a comparison. Optional budget and supplier preference can travel with the same note.
